Qualifications and Experience

Education: I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Washington (2004) and an Independent Clinical Social Worker License (LICSW).

Experience: With over 20 years of experience, I have honed my skills in treating a variety of issues, including trauma, anxiety, addiction, depression, grief, attention deficit, loneliness, family stress, caregiver fatigue, and life transitions.

Specialized Training: I have completed a Psychological Trauma Certificate, which enhances my ability to support clients dealing with past traumas.

Therapeutic Approach

My approach is rooted in empathy and compassion, utilizing evidence-based techniques tailored to your unique needs and aspirations. I adopt a holistic perspective, considering both individual experiences and broader environmental factors.

I integrate various therapeutic methods, including mindfulness. This client-centered approach allows you to re-experience emotional situations and gain deeper insights into your feelings.

I specialize in helping individuals manage anxiety, cope with health challenges, navigate depression, process past traumas, and adapt to life transitions. Additionally, I assist clients in addressing addictive behaviors that may hinder personal growth and affect relationships.

I am bilingual and bicultural. I am fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing me to connect with a diverse clientele and provide personalized support.

Insurance and Payment

I provide services on a private-pay basis and offer a limited number of sliding-fee/reduced cost appointments. 

I am in-network with the following health management organizations and employee assistance programs. With your consent, I may bill in-network insurance providers for services rendered. Please call your benefits administrator to verify coverage and out-of-pocket costs. I can also provide you with a good faith cost estimate for the services rendered. 

Please note that co-payments, cost-share, and deductibles will be collected at time of service. I adhere to a strict 24-hour cancelation policy.  A fee will be assessed to you for late cancellations and appointment no-shows as they are not covered by insurance. ​
